Boy Genius Reports published that PwnageTool dev-team posted video that demoed they have successful jailbroken iPod touch 4g. The technique used SHAtter exploit, which came out a few weeks ago. Message from the dev-team:

Macrumors published the possibility of an Apple Media Event set for September 7th. The event is supposedly about the next iPod Touch, Apple TV and show rentals.
